Rather than being a passive congregation, Creation Springs encourages believers to actively participate in their spiritual growth and maturity, encouraging every believer to be an honest witness, provide reliable testimony, and share their faith by living out their calling to follow Jesus.
Is this a "Churchy" church?
No. We are serious, not churchy. We are intentional, not religious. We are passionate, not traditional. We are unashamed, not afraid. We are built for those who feel lost, discouraged, broken, or marginalized. We focus on a message of hope, healing, and restoration especially for individuals who have been wounded by life’s challenges, this is our take on the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Is the Bible factual?
The Bible is true as written. It serves as primary source material and an authoritative written record. It is a book written by a single author, God, but recorded by dozens of human scribes across sixty-six canonical accounts. It include a range of styles from the poetic to prose, historic to apocalyptic, prophetic to practical, erotic to mundane, allegorical literary allusions to eye witness accounts, and more. So, yes, the Bible is fully authoritative, true, and factual as written.
What can I expect at your services?
The church’s co-founders, particularly Steve Simons, share personal stories of faith and calling that shape our emphasis on redemption and transformation. This includes a commitment, both personal and organizational, to confronting issues like trauma and abuse with gospel hope. We talk plainly about what the Bible says about EVERYTHING! Expect to be challenged thoughtfully, deeply, and intentionally.
Are you conservative or liberal?
The core of Creation Springs’ identity is rooted in a strong commitment to the Bible as written and a belief in introducing others to the factual Jesus through clear Biblical teaching that is unafraid and unashamed of the truth of God's Word, the way of God's will, and the life filled with God's blessings. While this is traditionally and categorically a conservative viewpoint, we find that the Bible challenges ALL PEOPLE to embrace God's Word over their traditions, cultural norms, and personal opinions, which is traditionally and categorically a liberal viewpoint. So, there you have it.
Why do you preach barefoot?
Because God told Moses to take off his shoes in God's presence (Exodus 3), promised Joshua that no one could stand against him because anywhere he placed his feet was land that God was giving him (Deuteronomy 11 & Joshua 1), and because there are no holy places or holy people, only a holy God, who loves us, who came on a rescue mission to save us, and who has declared that the kingdom of heaven is forcefully advancing by our faithful witnesses and honest testimony, not with pomp and circumstance, not with status or ceremony, but grounded, truthful, transparent, and real. It is a reminder that we are sinners, saved by grace, not by our own efforts or design. We walk barefoot as acknowledgment that we are always in the presence of God.
